2023 NWSL Championship
The 2023 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Championship match took place on November 11, 2023, at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California — the first time the NWSL Championship was held in San Diego. The final saw OL Reign fall to Gotham FC, 2-1.
San Diego Wave FC did not make it to the final, despite finishing in second place in the regular season standings. They lost in the semi-finals to the Reign, 1-0.
2024 NWSL Championship
The 2024 NWSL Championship was held at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City on November 23, 2024. This stadium, which opened in March 2024, is the first soccer stadium purpose-built for a women’s professional team. The match was broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
2025 NWSL Championship
The 2025 NWSL Championship will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at PayPal Park in San Jose, California. This marks another West Coast championship venue, offering San Diego Wave fans a more accessible trip compared to previous seasons. The match will kick off at 5:00 p.m. PT (8:00 p.m. ET) and will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+. Tickets went on sale in August 2025.
