Can you bring that purse, backpack, or diaper bag into Snapdragon Stadium? Before heading to a game, concert, or special event, it helps to know the official Snapdragon Stadium bag policy so you can avoid delays—or worse, being turned away at the gate.

Snapdragon Stadium follows a clear bag policy for nearly all events, including San Diego FC matches, San Diego Wave games, SDSU Aztecs football, concerts, and major stadium events. Security staff may inspect all permitted items before entry.

Bag Rules for Snapdragon Stadium

The Snapdragon Stadium bag rules are in place for the safety and security of all guests. Take a moment to review the following bag and purse policy details before your visit so you can avoid gate delays and make entry easier.

Note, this being 2026, all permitted items are subject to search.

Clear Bag Only Venue

Snapdragon Stadium is a clear bag only venue. Guests are encouraged to bring as little as possible to help speed up entry and improve security screening.

Bag Size Limit

Each person is allowed only one of the following:
  • One clear plastic, clear vinyl, or PVC bag no larger than 12” × 6” × 12”
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc-style)
  • One small clutch, purse, or wallet no larger than 4.5” × 6.5”

If your bag is not clear and exceeds the approved clutch size, it will not be allowed inside.

Exceptions

This policy exists for safety—not to prevent guests with medical needs or young children from bringing necessary items. In those cases, standard size limitations may not apply, though all items are still subject to inspection.

Which Bags Are Not Allowed

Prohibited bags include:
  • Large purses
  • Backpacks
  • Coolers
  • Briefcases
  • Luggage of any kind
  • Computer bags
  • Camera bags
  • Oversized tote bags
  • Any non-clear bag larger than the permitted size

Even if a bag seems small, security may deny entry if it does not meet policy requirements.

Bag Check Lockers

Mobile bag check lockers can usually be found outside the stadium on the east side.

Approved Bags

For clarity’s sake, your bag should be approved if it is:
  • Clear and no larger than 12” × 6” × 12”
  • A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
  • A purse, clutch, or wallet no larger than 4.5” × 6.5”
  • A diaper bag for childcare needs
  • A medically necessary bag or medical device carrier

Diaper Bag Policy

Diaper bags are allowed for guests attending with infants or young children. These bags may be subject to additional inspection at the gate.

To make entry easier, guests should keep diaper bags as compact as possible and only bring essential items.

Medical Bags and Medical Device Exceptions

Medical bags and necessary medical equipment are permitted at Snapdragon Stadium, even if they do not meet standard clear bag requirements.

Examples may include insulin supplies, breast pumps, medication storage bags, CPAP equipment, and mobility-related medical items.

These items are typically screened separately by security staff, so arriving a little earlier is recommended.

Seat Cushion Policy

Small seat cushions without pockets, zippers, or hidden storage are generally permitted. Oversized padded seats or chair-back style cushions may not be allowed depending on the event.

Concerts and sporting events can sometimes have different restrictions, so checking your specific event details before arrival is a good idea.

Concert Bag Policy

Most concerts at Snapdragon Stadium follow the same clear bag policy as sporting events. However, some tours may add stricter security rules depending on the artist, promoter, or event setup.

Before major concerts, always double-check your ticket details and event-specific policies.

SDSU Aztec Bag Policy

The standard Snapdragon Stadium clear bag policy applies to all San Diego State Aztecs football games.

That means clear bags only, approved clutch sizes, and standard exceptions for medical and diaper bags.

San Diego FC and Wave Bag Policy

The same policy applies for fans attending San Diego FC and San Diego Wave matches at Snapdragon Stadium.

Whether you’re heading to MLS or NWSL soccer, the clear bag policy remains the same.

Reminder: while bag rules can feel unnecessarily pinchy on an individual basis, they exist for safety and efficiency so that everyone can have a smoother experience at the stadium. Plan ahead, pack light, and make entry easy.
