Taking an Uber or Lyft to Snapdragon Stadium
A rideshare is a great way to skip the hassle of parking at Snapdragon Stadium. If you plan on drinking, having a plan to Uber or Lyft home is imperative.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Location
All rideshare drop-offs and pick-ups happen on
Mission Village Drive, just north of Jacaranda Street, right at
Gate 1 on the north side of the stadium. This is also where taxis, limos, and shuttles drop off.
You’ll be dropped off steps from Gate 1 — no long walk required. If your seats are on the south or west side of the stadium, figure a few extra minutes to loop around the concourse once you’re inside.
After the event, pick-ups happen in the same area — specifically in the
Purple Lot on the northeast side of the stadium. Look for the rideshare staging area and have your app ready.
Arriving by Rideshare
Getting dropped off is the easy part. Traffic builds as you get closer to game time, so give your driver extra time if you’re arriving within an hour of the event. Earlier is always smoother.
A quick tip: tell your driver to approach via
Mission Village Drive from Friars Road. That’s the most direct route to the drop-off zone and avoids the tighter streets around the east side of the stadium.
After the Event: Beating the Surge
This is where it gets real. When 20,000+ people pour out of the stadium and open their Uber app at the same time, surge pricing kicks in hard and wait times spike. Here’s how to outsmart it:
Don’t request your ride immediately. Hang back inside the stadium for 15–20 minutes. Grab a last drink, hit the team store, let the first wave clear out. Surge pricing drops fast once initial demand eases.
Walk away from the stadium before calling your ride. Even a few blocks makes a difference. Walk up to McGregor’s Grill & Ale House on Mission Center Road — it’s a 10-minute walk, the food and drinks are solid, and you’ll be out of the surge zone. Order your ride from there.
Hop the Trolley a few stops, then call your ride. Take the Green Line to Fashion Valley or Hazard Center and request your Uber from there. No surge, no gridlock, no stress. It’s one of the smartest moves you can make.
Compare both apps. Check Uber and Lyft side by side — just because one is surging doesn’t mean the other is. Prices can differ by $10-20 during peak demand.
Consider scheduling your return ride in advance. Lyft lets you schedule rides ahead of time, which can lock in a price before surge kicks in.

The Trolley + Rideshare Combo
Can’t decide between the
Trolley and a rideshare? Do both. Take the easy, stress-free trolley ride in — the Green Line drops you right at the stadium’s doorstep. Then grab a convenient Uber or Lyft home after the event. Best of both worlds.
