SDSU History & Matchup

Washington State is one of two Pac-12 holdovers, along with Oregon State, that anchored the conference through its 2024 realignment and now welcomes SDSU and five other newcomers into the rebuilt league. The Cougars enter 2026 under first-year head coach Kirby Moore, hired in December 2025 to replace Jimmy Rogers, who left after one season for Iowa State. The two programs last met on October 26, 2024, when Washington State scored the final 15 points to rally for a 29-26 win at Snapdragon — a result the Aztecs will look to flip on Halloween.
