SDSU History & Matchup

The Aztecs and Bulldogs have met 63 times since 1923 — more games than SDSU has played against any other opponent — with SDSU leading the all-time series 32-27-4. The 2026 game is their first meeting as Pac-12 conference foes after both schools moved over from the Mountain West. Fresno State enters under second-year head coach Matt Entz, who guided the Bulldogs to a 9-4 record and an Arizona Bowl win in his debut season. The Aztecs took the most recent meeting 23-0 at Valley Children’s Stadium in October 2025.
