When to Arrive for a Giveaway
All gate giveaways are first-come, first-served with a valid ticket. Once supply runs out, they’re gone. Here’s what we’ve seen at Snapdragon:
- First 10,000 fans: Arrive at gate open (90 minutes before kickoff) or earlier. Popular giveaways (bobbleheads, beanies) can run out before kickoff
- First 20,000 fans: Arrive 60-75 minutes before kickoff. Bobblehead nights have historically gone fast
- First 25,000 fans: Arrive 30-45 minutes before kickoff. Most fans will get one
- All fans / kids-only tiers: No rush, but arrive in time to enjoy pre-match atmosphere

The catch:

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a special ticket for a gate giveaway?
No. Any valid match ticket gets you a gate giveaway, as long as you arrive before supply runs out. The giveaway is handed to you as you enter through the gates.
What if I have a ticket but arrive after the giveaway runs out?
Unfortunately, you don’t get one. Gate giveaways are strictly first-come, first-served. This is why arrival timing matters — especially for 10k and 20k tier items like bobbleheads and beanies.
Can I get a theme night item (scarf, bobblehead, lanyard) at the gate?
No. Theme night items are only included in the specific Theme Night ticket package, purchased in advance from SDFC’s website. A regular single-match ticket, no matter when you arrive, will not get you the item.
Can I buy a theme night package from StubHub or a resale site?
No. Theme night packages are only sold directly through San Diego FC. Resale sites only list standard tickets, which do not include the themed item.
What if my ticket is for a section that’s farther from the gates?
Doesn’t matter. The giveaway is based on gate entry order, not section. Any gate, any ticket — just arrive early.
Are gate giveaways one per person, or one per ticket?
Standard practice is one per ticketed fan entering through the gates. Each person with their own ticket gets their own item.
How do I know if SDFC won at home for the Carl’s Jr. burger?
Check SDFC’s social channels (X/Twitter, Instagram) within a few hours of the final whistle. They post the redemption code there. You have 24 hours from that point to redeem in the Carl’s Jr. app at a participating San Diego County location.
