Snapdragon Stadium is made for sports. But conveniently for San Diego music fans, it’s also a spectacular venue to see concerts. In its first year, Snapdragon has hosted concert performances from Jimmy Buffet and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the lineup of upcoming concerts in 2023 is even better.

First-Timers Tips

Helpful advice if this is your first time attending a concert at Snapdragon.
  • Parking & Tailgating: Read about parking and please pay for parking in advance. For most concerts, tailgating is allowed but there may be exceptions. Please check your specific concert details.
  • Gates: Entrance gates will open two hours prior to concert.
  • Cashlessness and Mobile Ticketing: Snapdragon is cashless. Use a credit card for payment and/or download the app. Please do not hold that phone up in front of me when I am trying to watch the concert.
  • Concert End Times: Subject to each event. Snapdragon has an 11PM curfew.
  • Rideshare Location: Near Gate 1.
  • Prohibited Items: Unlike sporting events, there are no water bottles allowed at concerts; Also read clear-bag-only policy.

Review: The 19-song setlist consisted of songs off Blood Sugar Sex Magic, Californication, By the Way, Unlimited Love, and Return of the Dream Canteen. As always the show began with a jam of Flea, Smith, and Frusciante before Anthony Kiedis came out. This led into “Can’t Stop.” The set included older hits like “Blood Sugar Sex Magik,” “Dani California,” “Californication,” and “By The Way,” in addition to their latest hits like “Aquatic Mouth Dance, “Black Summer,” and “Tippa My Tongue.” Read more…
