In the 2022 championship game, also held at Snapdragon, Lincoln High School scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to secure a comeback 28-24 victory over Carlsbad High School.

The 2023 San Diego Open Division Championships will once again bring together the top two football teams from the San Diego Section. This event is the ultimate showdown, where these elite teams will clash to determine who will be crowned the top team in the section for the year. Expect fierce competition, electrifying plays, and an atmosphere filled with the spirit of football. A computer wrote that sentence!

Matchups: We won’t know who is playing until the first round is complete. Top seed Lincoln Hornets will play Helix and the winner will face whoever emerges victorious in the Granite Hills vs Carlsbad game (those games are on November 10).
