The 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship, presented by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, will take place in San Diego at Snapdragon Stadium starting June 21, 2023.
Featuring 30 countries and over 100 games, the tournament will be held at Snapdragon Stadium, San Diego State University’s Sports Deck, and the University of San Diego’s Torero Stadium.
The United States will face Canada in the opening match, taking place at Snapdragon Stadium, and DJ Steve Aoki will perform at halftime.
This is the 14th edition of the championship, and the United States has an impressive record, reaching the finals in all previous tournaments and winning 10 titles.Since 1974, the men’s championship has been held every four years worldwide. The United States leads with ten world titles, followed by Canada with three. The most recent championship took place in 2018 in Israel and featured a record-breaking 46 nations competing. This event showcased the global growth and popularity of lacrosse. The championship continues to foster international camaraderie and promote the development of the sport.
